Flying Lotus - 'Cosmogramma' cut from BBC Radio 1 and interview

A conversation with Flylo about Cosmogramma, the new Flying Lotus record due out on May 3. Recorded in LA, the album also features a cut with Thom York. I'm so looking forward this.

And here's a Cosmogramma mash up, cut from the Gilles Peterson broadcast last week on BBC Radio 1.

The Endless Rain Record by Kyouei Design

The Endless Rain Record by Kyouei Design plays endlessly. Side A contains an endless recording of rain that loops over and side B, 5 different rain drop sounds. I want a copy for those rainy days when it's not raining please.

Light graffiti - Jan Wöllert and Jörg Miedza

Based in Bremen, Germany, Jan Wöllert and Jörg Miedza - the minds behind Light Art Performance Photography - have been working together since 2007. Strangely, neither are full-time photographers; Jan is a PA while Jorg is an office-based worker. They've created this series of 'light graffiti' which utilises a host of light sources, from flash lights and bike lights to blinking LED lights, to 'paint' a picture straight onto the camera lens. The images are created with long exposure cameras in the dark. Sometimes the exposures run on for longer than an hour.

Richard Burbridge

Richard Burbridge began his career in photography in the early 1990s and moved to New York in 1993, where he is still based. Richard collects old scientific and optical devices and alot of his work is often based around 'science' imagery. Elegantly experimental and meticulous, I like this series of portrait photographs.

Francisco Infante Arana and Nonna Gorunova

Francisco Infante-Arana formed an artists’ collective known as the Movement Group and continues to be one of the premier Russian avant-garde artists. They've produced a series of images using mirrors set out in natural landscape settings such as forests, fields and the sea. I love these. Here are a few of my favourites.

Yeasayer - 2080 / Tightrope

This clip of Yeasayer doing an impromptu rendition of 2080 and Tightrope at an apartment in Paris seems all the more significant after hearing their new album, Odd Blood. It almost seems like we're reminiscing the 'old days' of Yeasayer already. Watch and have a listen. I do, lots.
